Hollywood actress, Ashlyn Roberts, just had the worst week of her life. Her ex released a sex tape of them and just when she was convinced her current boyfriend was a keeper for standing by her side, he breaks up with her at a friend’s wedding. She’s planning to drown her sorrows in booze when she meets a sexy stranger as she’s leaving the wedding and they end up in Vegas, married.
Cash Crawford is offered a dream job working with his brother as a junior talent agent. He’ll put his shiny new law degree to good use and make a bunch of money in the process. His first task is simple: Keep Ashlyn Roberts out of trouble and don’t sleep with her.
Which might be kind of tough, since they definitely consummated their Vegas wedding. Will this one night stand end in the quickie divorce they promised each other? Or will they realize they got lucky in love?
A standalone contemporary romance by USA Today Bestselling Author, Jillian Dodd.
Vegas Love is one of those great little feel-good stories – it is not very long but there is definitely a happy ending. Now let’s take a moment to talk about the things I love about this book.
Perfectly balanced character and plot. I love how it flowed. It had all the character-driven qualities I love in a novel and was wrought with emotion and these stirring passages and then there are these super charged and intense situations that had me biting my nails. The plot went places I didn’t expect which definitely upped the intensity and actually was a pleasant surprise.
Impeccable Writing. While the story in Vegas Love could be a little predictable, Jillian Dodd’s writing (as expected) made the book a refreshing read. From little details to more emotional scenes, Jillian had me hooked on this story and these characters. The dialogue was witty, and the characters felt realistic.
Vegas Love was such a gem. The pacing was great and the main characters were easy to love (who wouldn’t fall for Cash anyway?) It took no effort to immerse myself into their world because Cash and Ashlyn exude killer chemistry. What they have boiled down to an instant attraction that very quickly turned into love. When these two fall, they fall hard. As their relationship intensifies and becomes more series, things do become harder for them.
Will they make some adjustments and determine if it will work or not? It’s for you to find out.
I recommend Vegas Love to contemporary romance fans, readers looking a nice, easy, quick read – a great one to grab when you’re looking for a happily-ever-after to throw between heavy reads or long reads. Try it. You will enjoy it.
