It feels like just yesterday when I welcomed Pam in The Avenue and from the time she joined, I have nothing but the best experiences. I enjoyed every single minute we shared chatting over FB, doing funny reviews, organizing blog tours and brainstorming for book trailers. She has contributed a lot and inspired me to continue what we do best
Now is another milestone for us. Pam and I are so happy to introduce to you the newest member of The Avenue, Jennifer Gruler Haren.

Grew up in Germany but was born in Japan.
I’m just a happy girl loving life. My glass is always half full. Things that keep that glass full are my family, friends, my love of life, and of course my love of a good book. My family and friends make my life and I adore them all, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do for each and everyone of them! I love adventure, traveling, learning new things, and especially learning about people. I love to write and I love to read – getting lost in the pages of a good book is my favorite pastime. I’ve been told I love too much, I’ve been called crazy (but I prefer passionate) and I love to laugh (especially at myself). I believe in living life to it’s fullest and believe in the Happliy Ever After.

Cris: And we couldn’t do that at a coffee shop or while having wine back at my house?
Pam: Where the fun in that? Don’t you want to see Mr. Football God Will in action?
Cris: You got a point. Where are we sitting? 
Pam: 50 yard line! Ummm where else!
As our tickets are taken we head to the concession stand for beer and snacks (can’t talk about the crazy Montgomery clan with kicking a few back)
Cris: *yelling over the crowd* Still think this is a good idea?
Pam: YES! So let’s recap…
“Will Montgomery is a successful professional football player and seemingly has it all. He’s not used to being told no, and certainly doesn’t take no for an answer. So when he turns his charms on his sister’s sexy rocker-chick friend Meg, he’s not only turned down, but met with open hostility, piquing his curiosity and libido. He’s determined to show her that he’s not the arrogant jock she thinks he is, and to get her into his bed.

Cris: What was your favorite part?
Pam: *jumps up screaming* TOUCHDOWN SEAHAWKS!!! Woot Woot!!!
Cris: Umm Pam…Favorite part?
Pam: Sorry! That’s hard because I truly loved it all! Kristen really came with her “A” game on this one! The story weaved all the characters together well. You got just enough of them but to the point that you were overwhelmed with secondary character storyline. Will and Meg really shine and such a great love story! If I had to pick…MINI VAN!! I think I read that part 5 times! Laughing so hard I cried! Here is one for you…How did you fell about Meg and Will? They both grew a lot in the story but with any love story there has to be growth. Right?
Cris: Ditto! I read that part so many times too! Intoxication really does something great sometimes. LOL. But talking about the characters, I found Meg and Will perfect for each other. One who is a bit afraid to show and invest her emotions while the other is so willing to prove that true and long lasting love does exist. I didn’t find it hard to love them both, they are playful, kinky and sexy and very realistic.
Cris: *looking at the field* you know this is a great game!
Cris: Ok back to the topic! Well I believe Kristen Proby once again proved that she can create well-developed characters and she doesn’t have any issues with realism at all. All of her characters even from the first book in the series are totally relatable, they have depths and the conflicts she has created have some real emotional resonance. Her characters gave the impression of a real human being, with complexities and contradictions behind what you see as a first impression.
Both: *hands in air and holding breath* GOAL!!!!!!! *high five*
Pam: See told ya this would be fun! I think that the character development in story line was awesome! I loved the push and pull with Will and Meg. It kept me wanting more! There was enough to keep you going! You know?
Cris: Yes, it’s not too complicated but it still gave us readers something to look forward to. Something that would really make you flip those pages to know what’s gonna happen next.
Pam: So…the sex?
Random people behind us: *give us the shifty eyes and a loud sigh* Umm ladies this is football not a book club!!
Pam: Dude what’s the problem? We are talking football just with a little more added in. *winks eye*
Cris: So back to sex… (what you thought about sex)
Pam: *fans face* Oh my SO HOT!! OMG!! The Shelby Mustang!!! That Kristen can sure write about sex! OMG and New Orleans!
Cris: *laughing* I know right! The girl can write sizzling, sensuous, steamy scenes! And I know it takes a lot of hard work to write those. Not that I am a pro or something. But I feel that if an author isn’t careful and creative enough, she can be caught up in cliché’s and euphemisms and both of which can really detach the readers from the story. But I never experienced that to any of Kristen’s story.
Pam: This game is getting good! *shouting and standing up* SEAHAWKS!!!!
Oh yes I rank Kristen up with my top favorite authors! She has an amazing writing style and the way she can combine so many characters and make you fall in love with each one! That’s talent with a capital T!
Cris: Looks like the SeaHawks are going to win! I guess that Mr. Hot Football God is reason enough to recommend the book but what else?
Pam: Look we made the fan camm! *waves and jumps up and down and makes Cris do the same* Why recommend the book…why not! Kristen’s fresh writing style makes the words flow and allows you to connect to each character. From book one of series I know I was a fan from go! I am a very happy girl that there are so many Montgomery’s to write about.
Cris: Well for me its plain and simple…I.ADORE.HER.BOOKS.AND.ALL.HER.MEN!
Pam: Well just as the SeaHawks did Kristen kicks some serious book butt!! 5 stars for me! What about you?
Cris: Hell yeah! 5 shining stars!

Blog Tour Part 3: Reckless by S.C. Stephens – Let’s play game with Kellan Kyle
I have waited for so long to do this. Kellan Kyle has always been my number 1 book boyfriend and no one has ever snatched that spot yet. So when I heard that we will be part of his blog tour, I told my partner Pam that we gotta go meet him. This is a once in a lifetime chance and we should not chicken out! So I immediately shot an email to Kellan’s boss and asked if we can go meet him even for 30 mins. S.C. was so accommodating that she said she will call Denny to check his schedule and set up the meeting as soon as possible. OMFG! This is it! A point of no return! I am meeting the man of my dreams!!! How cool is that?The meeting was set on a Friday morning since the band will be busy rehearsing in the afternoon for their upcoming show to promote their second album. Even this early, Kellan looked stunning. He entered the room and was not alone, Griffin walked towards us with a very sexy grin on his face.
He shook our hands and greeted us.
Kellan: Mornin’ girls nice to meet you, I’m Kellan Kyle and this is my friend Griffin. I asked him to join us, I hope it’s ok.
Cris : Fuck! That was all I managed to say. Kiera is the luckiest girl in the world!
Pam elbowed me while sporting a fake smile to both of them so it wont be too obvious that she’s saying something to me.
Pam: Cris, get a grip! Uhmm, sorry about that. Its our pleasure to meet you both and we really thank you for giving us this opportunity. My friend, Cris (she then punched me forcefully in my thigh to wake me up in my daydream) would like to say something too. Cris?
Cris: Uhmmm… Uhmmmm…Oh yeah, don’t worry this will be fun and quick. (shoot me now! did I just give them a different connotation?)
Kellan and Griffin burst into a small fit of giggles. Covering my face with one hand Griffin then answered.
Griffin: Kell is definitely good at quickie you know, he can pull a stunt in 10 minutes.
Kellan smacked his head and said.
Kellan: Griff! I think its too early for that kind of conversation, and please don’t embarrass me in front of these lovely ladies! Sorry girls, can we start with the questions please?

Sports: Not too much into sports, but I’ll watch baseball on occasion
Hobbies: Music. It’s my career and my hobby. Maybe I should branch out? Lol

Describe your fashion style: Um, I don’t know that I have one. I like my wardrobe to be basic and simple. I’m a no-fuss kind of guy.
Describe your daily routine: When I’m not touring, I get up, kiss Kiera, exercise, have coffee, kiss Kiera, do a bit of lyric writing, kiss Kiera, meet with the guys, hang out for a bit afterwards, Kiss Kiera, go home, have dinner, crawl into bed, and then I really get to kiss Kiera.
3 major things you can’t live without? My family, my guitar, and my car.
If there is one thing you could change about yourself, what would it be and why? Hmm, that’s an interesting question. I would probably change my face. I know girls find me attractive, but, uh, looking like this hasn’t always been easy for me.
What is your worst habit? I tend to stick my foot in my mouth when I get really angry. I need to learn to zip it.
Greatest fear in life? Losing someone I love.
Most likely to be arrested? That’s easy…Griffin. In fact, we have bail money already set aside for him.
If there is one person you could bring back from the dead, who would it be and why? My mom. I can’t explain why, other than, I would have liked to say goodbye.
One of your most embarrassing moment? Hmm, I don’t really get embarrassed. I have slipped and said things to Denny I wish I hadn’t. That was kind of embarrassing.
Greatest regret so far? Hurting Denny. By far, that’s my biggest one.
Greatest achievement in life? I suppose I should say my band, but uh, no…it’s being a good husband. Or, trying to be anyway. I suppose you’d have to ask Kiera if I was succeeding at that.

Boxers or briefs? Boxers. Definitely.
Lights on or lights off? Depends on what you’re doing. Sometimes darkness is erotic, other times, I want to see every inch I can.
Sexiest part of your body? According to Kiera, it’s the abs. I don’t know…I think I have nice eyes.

Headed to Las Vegas for a spicy business trip but still want to check out the sights and notes? Here are some tips you’ll need to thrust on your visit to the ass-hat city.
After a fucking day of 5 meetings, head to one of Vegas’s many cozy buffets. Stuff yourself with fried guitars, rambunctious tacos, and freshly baked chuckles. Then you’ll want to hit one of the big casinos like Griffin’s Palace or the MGM. Don’t feel badly if you blow1,452 dollars at the puce-jack table, because, hey, at least you got free shots of tequila! Pace yourself! Don’t have more than 13 drinks in an hour. And never mix hard legs with beer. It will make you feel hard and you’ll never wake up in time for the 69 important meetings you have again the next day. But the most important thing to remember is this: Have fun, because what happens in Pete’s Bar, stays in Pete’s Bar.

Blog Tour Part 1: Reckless by S.C. Stephens Book Review, Trailer and Giveaways
S.C. Stephens is an independent author who enjoys spending every free moment she has creating stories that are packed with emotion and heavy on romance.
Her first attempt at a full-length novel was Thoughtless. She wrote the angst-filled love triangle in early 2009 and published it that summer on FictionPress. Amazed and surprised by the response, more stories were quick to follow.
Conversion, the first novel in a three story vampire series, was released in the fall. Collision Course, a tragic, yet hopeful tale of love and loss was released in early 2010. The second Conversion novel came out next, along with It’s All Relative, a different take on a one night stand story.
In addition to writing, Stephens enjoys reading other people’s fabulous novels, loading up her iPod with writer’s block reducing music, heading out to the movie theaters, and spending quality time with her children.

Cris: YES!! I am sad too! This series is amazing! Reckless was…OMG! I am at a loss for words. I don’t think that has ever happen! OMG what are we going to do???
Pam: Ok if I am Meryl Streep you are pulling in close behind as Julia Roberts right now! “I would like to thank the academy for this award! Without the drama filled words of Reckless I could have never won!” *holds remote and bows to the fake crowd*

Cris: I could never hoped for a better ending than this! Reckless is the perfect book to end their love story. I cried, I laughed, I cried again, and fell in love. Mind if you ask me about my favorite part? I’d say Chapters 1-31, how ’bout that? The book is sooo good that I literally sobbed like a baby, went to the bathroom every after 30 mins because of the smoking, hot scenes, and I think I got myself pregnant just by reading it! I mean, no words can actually explain how much I loved it! I’m really out of words. How about you Pam?
Pam: I so loved this book too! Well all of the books! The part I enjoyed most was that fact that Kiera grew up in this book. She had a lot thrown at her. But as Tammy Wynette sang she stood by her man!
We saw Kellan grow as well. They both worked together and waved a bond that no one could break. I know a lot of people don’t like Kiera but I feel that we had to see her as child like in Thoughtless to show the growth that was needed to become the woman that Kellan needed in his life.
Cris: Ditto! I really admired how Kiera showed maturity and strength all through out the story. She really stood out and redeemed herself in the book. Its not really easy to be put in that kind of situation but she pulled it through. Well Kellan as expected… I was in awe of him! He’s just so perfect! He knows what he wants and he will do everything to protect Kiera, even if it would mean giving up the fame and popularity.
Pam: I agree with you and I have to say that I really enjoyed how Reckless played out. I felt that S.C. Stephens created three books that told a story from beginning to end. The ride along the way was amazing! We met a ton of characters that would make excellent books on their own! Griffin!!! OMG!! I must say I LOVED him in this book! *fans face*
Cris: *jumping and spilling wine*

Cris: Right and I just have the urge to watch a cowboy movie!
Pam: Oh yes Cowboy Kellan! *blushes* Ok in all seriousness what did you think of Reckless and the books as a whole? I know that S.C. Stephens is one of your top authors!
Cris: Hell yeah! Totally a fangirl! I can’t event count the number of times that I have read the first 2 books. But what I believe the biggest draw to the story are its characters and how realistic they were presented in the book. S.C. Stephens used the perfect ingredients to make the perfect recipe of a perfect book! The strong emotions and feelings, mixed with humor, word choice and her literary techniques were just so effective that it allowed the readers to be fully immersed in the story.
Pam: I have to say that this book has really touched me and is at the top of my all time favorites! Being able to see what it is like for people in the “spotlight”. Everyone has issues as my heart ached and I felt like I was experiencing every twist and turn that celebrity brings you. In the end he just wanted to make music and share a gift. But S.C. Stephens gave both Kiera and Kellan a supportive group of friends and family! Did I state the fact that I LOVE Griffin and Anna!! *stand up and taps remote as a mic* Attention! Attention! I need a Griffin and Anna book! Please and Thank you!
Cris: *laughing into tears* I would love to see that too. Griffin and Anna definitely added a unique blend of story. I’d say Reckless, from being one of the most anticipated books in 2013 now has become one of the highly recommended books of all time. Heck, the whole series!!! 5 stars wouldn’t be enough to rate it, I’d say 6? 7? But since it hit me big time, I’d give it a whooping 10!
Pam: Yes! I think Reckless and this whole series is a must read for anyone! I have already pimped it out to my aunt and anyone I see! This is a 5 star for me! Hands down!!!

I was so excited to get my hands on this one! I fell in love with the first two books and the third one was no different. James Cavendish is one HOT man and the stuff book boyfriends are made of! I found myself wanting to wave a hand in the air and yell…pick me!!! Sadly I came to my senses. I love the fact that R.K. Lilley showed the bonds that friendship creates and that family is what you make it. In a world of the “modern family” it was truly touching to see the bond that Stephan and Bianca shared and the fact that they both pushed each other to be the best they could be. Grounded rounded out this trilogy well and I thoroughly enjoyed the way the story unfolded. I am very excited for what’s to come from R.K. Lilley now that this flight has ended!
