Fools.
So many fools. Nothing but fools.

That worm of a detective, my mother, Paul. Fools—all of them. But Aspen, oh Aspen…she was the biggest fool of all.

Aspen Black, a seemingly ordinary woman of the compound, transformed into the utter bane of my existence in just a matter of months. She had the gall to question me, to seek the counsel of an outsider, and to disobey my word.

To add to her list of transgressions, Aspen recruited my own brother in the crusade against me. For this, they must both be punished. And their daughter, Ruthie, is the key to their retribution.

Aspen and Paul will pay for their crimes against the one true prophet. If it’s the very last thing I do.

reviewThe finale of the Compound Series, Prophet Takes All, was heart stopping.  If you have been invested in this series like I have, get ready! Everything you thought you knew will be flipped, busted, and dragged through the mud. Can you feel the suspense building?  Not wanting to reveal the storyline is hard with this one, so I will say this final installment will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Extremely under estimated and brilliantly written, the Compound Series will take you on a journey.  I feel as if this last book, Prophet Takes All, was the perfect ending to this suspenseful story. I do say suspense and not romance. We all know Melissa brings the romance to the table with effortless ease, BUT Prophet Takes All along with the full series, is not a typical romance.  As the story progresses it was Aspen’s love of her family and religion that propels the romantic side of the story.  The thrill of the chase, the evil mind of the Prophet, the fight for what was right, all bring something we don’t expect from Melissa, suspense.

Now that this series is out as a whole, you owe it to yourself to read up on Melissa’s Compound world. Jumping in with an open mind and abandoning all thoughts of traditional romance will set you up for a reading adventure.

About Melissa Brown

I have always been fascinated with books—-ever since I was a little girl sitting in front of my record player, following along with my huge 12×12 storybooks.

I love books—everything about them. I love reading them, being surrounded by them in bookstores and libraries, and most recently, writing some of my own.
