With Congressman Brady Maxwell up for reelection and journalist Liz Dougherty about to graduate into a promising career, the ambitious couple's future is brighter than ever. They share a passion for their work...and for each other. But when Brady holds a press conference to officially introduce Liz as his girlfriend, reporters hungry for a scandal bombard her. Now, her every move is under a vicious magnifying glass, and her life feels like it's falling apart. On the road to reelection, the passionate bond between the congressman and the journalist gets tested at every stop. Threatened by shameless media sensationalism and jealous exes, Brady and Liz now have to learn to trust each other despite what they read in the papers. In the finale to K.A. Linde's sexy Record trilogy, Liz and Brady may be setting off fireworks along the campaign trail, but can their love transcend politics as usual?
“Understatement. You’re more than the game changer. You’re the game and the team and the league and the whole universe of sports wrapped up not one neat little package.”
MAXWELL! MAXWELL! MAXWELL! MAXWELL! Yep, that’s me chanting at a Brady Maxwell rally because in my head… HE IS REAL! Don’t judge me! My love for this series is no secret and book three just made my Maxwell bubble the happiest place on earth… besides Disney.
“They say the measure of a man is what he does with his power. I’ve come to find that I have no power without you. So, I want to share it with you for the rest of my days.”
Airplane, reporters, and poll booths oh my! Anything worth having is never easy and these two have had their share of hard times. Secrets, rumors, and outright lies. Its politics baby! Let the mud fly. K.A. Linde made me fall in love with a politician. How many people can say that? Both Liz and Brady are adapting to a public love affair. Love is hard, but when everyone and everything is clawing to get a glimpse of what they hold so dear, even the mighty will fall.
“There is no other option for me. It’s just you.”
Maxwell is golden! For me, it’s not possible to say enough about him. Then BOOM the epilogue was perfection! I had a permanent grin affixed to my face. I am still excited as I write this. Read this series, heck read it twice! I have. I am not a huge fan of third person but K.A. Linde makes me a believer. Not sure I can say goodbye to Brady but at least he lives on my Kindle and Audible apps. ß told ya I love me some Maxwell!
