The conclusion to the New York Times bestselling romance that began in Phenomenal X, about one woman’s pulse-pounding relationship with a notorious bad-boy wrestler.

“What’ll it be, Anna Cortez? Are you in, or are you out?”

One momentary loss of control has now ruined everything Xavier Cold had going for himself. With his world unraveling fast, he’s willing to do anything to save not only his job but his relationship with the only woman he’s ever loved.

Anna Cortez, still reeling from shock, tries desperately to save the man that’s consumed her heart, body and soul. She’ll have to dig deep and find courage she never knew she possessed to help Xavier fight demons from his past—a past that’s even more haunted than she ever imagined.

reviewAlmost two years ago, Michelle Valentine combined two worlds and I fell hard. Reading is a passion of mine and I’ve been known from time to time to sit with my boys and watch wrestling. The Rock was a character that I quickly grew to hate and love at the same time. Michelle gave us Xavier and boy was I happy. I loved Phenomenal X and patiently waited for the rest of X and Anna’s story. Michelle did not disappoint me with the explosive finale to this series.

I love a broken hero, and X is just that. Wonderfully written, he is all alpha, and sin. His broken parts are just enough to give him character. He’s fierce, strong, and one hell of a competitor. Everyone has flaws. His make him even more loveable.

I absolutely love how Anna is portrayed. You would think a character with her background who lived a sheltered life would be fragile and easily wounded. But not Anna. No, she is one strong female who knows who she is, what she wants and she doesn’t give up. I just want to yell, “You Go Girl!”. I really like how she is written and I’m glad she stood up for herself, even when it hurt.

Overall, I loved the storyline. It stayed true to the first book and had me reading the last bit with bated breath. That was a killer ending.
