I was so excited to get my hands on this one!I fell in love with the first two books and the third one was no different.James Cavendish is one HOT man and the stuff book boyfriends are made of!I found myself wanting to wave a hand in the air and yell…pick me!!!Sadly I came to my senses.I love the fact that R.K. Lilley showed the bonds that friendship creates and that family is what you make it.In a world of the “modern family” it was truly touching to see the bond that Stephan and Bianca shared and the fact that they both pushed each other to be the best they could be.Grounded rounded out this trilogy well and I thoroughly enjoyed the way the story unfolded.I am very excited for what’s to come from R.K. Lilley now that this flight has ended!
This guy is too much!!! I mean, who in his right mind would like to be interviewed in a bar? Only Cade Walker can pull such stunt!
Well, I guess I had no other choice but to go ALONE since my partner Pam did some last minute errands. I would have to admit that I am a bit excited though…to finally meet this manwhore and see for myself why Lor had a hard time saying NO!
So I started raiding my closet and looked for something cute to wear. Did I just say cute? Why do I even bother to dress up? Mmmm something must be wrong!
Gotcha! I decided to be a little bit girly tonight but without losing the toughness. I don’t want him to think that I’m one of those “dress to impress” girls! So I took a shower, dried my hair, put a little make up on and dolled myself up with this cute lacy white dress that perfectly matched my brutal biker boots and accessories. I was ready to go!
We agreed to meet at 8, but I arrived way too early so I decided to just sit at the bar and ordered some coke zero. I don’t want to feel all tipsy while doing the interview anyways. Just when I’m about to have my first gulp, I felt a hot hard body behind me. I don’t need to turn around to know who it was. A strong, deep but sexy as hell voice started to speak.
”Need some company?” Hell of course, I came here for you duh!!!
So just to get this over with, I finally turned around and got the biggest surprise of my life! Whoa! This man is gorgeous! He’s about 6’7” tall, blonde hair, muscular body, intense green eyes that just by staring at it, I know I would be in trouble. He led the way to one of the farthest booth and I followed him, still holding on with my coke zero.
Curiously looking what I have in my hand he said.
“So Cris, I don’t mean to offend but you’re such a baby! You sure you’re allowed to enter a bar?”
This guy is a prick! “Hey! Im short I know but that doesn’t mean my 5’2 height can’t kick your sweet huge ass.” Ooops, where did it come from?
“Whoa, hold your horses chickie! Just making sure. I don’t want to end this beautiful night in handcuffs for taking a child to a bar who apparently checks on my sweet huge ass! I love being tied up in cuffs you know, but somewhere comfy and cozy at least, not behind the bars! So tell me, was it really huge?”
This guy is impossible and not to mention very conceited! “Please Cade, this is something serious! I need to get this done asap so can we just get it on and start with the questions? And please don’t call me chickie! I’m not one of your girls that you can play at. I’m here for business, and if for one second you can’t pretend to be one, then I’m outta here!” Im ready to leave but his heated grip on my left hand suddenly stopped me.
“Stay! Please stay! I promise to be serious. It’s just that this whole interview thing is a first to me, babe. So I guess you would have to put up with my…uhhmmm mmmm uneasiness?”
“You? Cade Walker? Uneasy? Never in a million years. Oh well, whatever! Can I start with my questions?”
“Yeah, but please let me buy you a drink first, just a small peace offering for being a jackass.”
“Ok fine and just so you wouldn’t call me chickie anymore! Jack and coke please.”
As the server left our table to get our drinks, I put out my ipad and threw in my first question.
Cris: So Cade, since we didn’t hear so much about you in the story, well aside from the fact that you took advantage of Lor while she was all drunk and tipsy, can you tell us more about yourself?
Cade: Ouch! You really think that low of me huh! And just for a disclaimer, I didn’t take advantage of her! It’s a consensus decision by 2 adults having a good time. Cris: You mean two intoxicated adults huh? So Cade, tell us your story. Who is the real Mr. Walker and what does he want from life?
Cade: There’s really not a lot to tell. I’m just a good ole country boy from a small town in Missouri. I grew up on a big ranch and when my parents died it became mine. I may seem like I’m all about having a good time, but my number one concern is the success of my ranch and carrying on the Walker name in a way to make my parents proud. Even though I lost them years ago, I’ll never forget the love they shared. My daddy loved my momma more than anything in the world. The way his eyes would light up when she would walk into a room…damn. I never thought I’d feel that…but I did when I met Lor.
As he told his story, my eyes immediately found his adorable lips, his voice rumbled through me. God it was sexy! I suddenly became jealous of Lor and wondered how those lips would feel in mine. Hey Cris, get a grip! That was my subconscious mind talking to me. When he caught me almost drooling, Cade just grinned and said.
Cade: Hey Cris, you okay?
Cris: Uhhmm sure, just didn’t take you as one with real sense. But then why you don’t do relationships and opt for casual sex? Was it about a traumatic experience in the past?
Cade: No traumatic experience, hon. I mean you like sex don’t ya? (He says with a devilish smirk.) Sex is fun…really fun. I just never thought I would find a love like my parents shared. I guess my standards were set pretty high. Wow sex… S E X! I felt a sudden tingle in my nipple as I watch his mouth utter those words. While I bit my nails I then moved on with my next question.
Cris: So Cade, tell me, would you let anyone stand in the way of your woman? I mean like a pierced, tattooed hottie?
Cade: Cris, I like you, so I’m just gonna tell you this one time: this interview will end real damn quick if we start talking about that asshat.
Cris: Oh! I’m sorry, okay moving on to the next. So why Lor? What is it about her that makes it all different? I mean, why feel the need to pursue her?
Cade: I can’t really tell ya why, Cris. I just feel something strong for her…in my heart. I feel like she’s a lot like me. The pride she feels for her ranch and the way she feels about her family, that all reminds me of myself. She’s a damn good woman – hell, any man would be crazy not to want her.
As he reminisced that moment with Lor, he took a swig of his beer and licked the right side of his lips. Oh good good Lord! It sent vibrations through my body, made my skin hot and my muscles rippled with need. How many more questions do I have? I need to finish this immediately or else I would end up agreeing doing the same thing. So I cleared my throat and start throwing my follow up question.
Cris: Cade this question might be a little inappropriate. But my readers were polled [not really but I’m just dying to know] what is the craziest place you’ve ever had sex?
Shaking his head at me and biting his lip with that sexy grin.
Cade: I don’t kiss and tell, hon, but I will tell ya this…I’ve heard sex on a tractor can be a hell of a lot fun.
I really need to cut this off. I don’t think I can still stand staring at his green eyes without me imagining how his hard, sculpted body would rock against mine and now all I can think about is a big green tractor. I am not in my usual self and I have to blame “JD” for that. So I decided to skip the remaining 3 questions and just jump immediately to the last.
Cris: So what’s your plan now Cade? How would you like your destiny to unfold?
Cade: Well, hon I guess you’ll just have to read Destined to Change and see what Lisa Harley has in store for me…I promise ya’ll won’t be disappointed. As a matter of fact, I’ve never disappointed a lady in my life. He said with a wink of his eye. Thank God it was done! Cade settled the bill and accompanied me outside the bar to the parking lot. I opened my purse and found my keys when I felt his hand touched mine.
“Let me.”
He took the keys and opened the door for me. He’s not that bad after all, I feel there is really something about this guy than just his pretty face and sexy body.
Just before I hopped inside the car, I decided to take one final glance of him and that’s when it happened…
“Thanks for a great night and I’m sorry for being a bit too forward earlier, and for calling you chickie.” He said with his sexy voice. I knew I was in trouble early on, and it only took me those lines to finally give in. I let my hands do the talking. As he held my gaze, my hand roamed a little lower, surveying the territory and reached down to hold one of the perfectly formed asses I have ever touched. Shoot! Did I just do that?
“Whoa that was hot! Well I guess I was wrong to even call you a chickie.”
There goes the cocky Cade. I just smiled.
“Thanks for the drink.” I said and gave him a quick peck on the cheek instead. When I pulled off, he grabbed me on my shoulder and closed the gap between us. My swaying vision made me feel nauseous so I closed me eyes while my chest and nipples hardened and I knew he felt them.
He cupped my chin and eased my face up when all of a sudden I heard Usher singing in the background “Ooh baby baby ooh baby baby Ah-ooh baby baby ooh baby baby. Girl tonight you’re the prey. I’m the hunter. Take you here, take you there. Take you under. Imagine me whispering in your ear, That I wanna take off all your clothes and put something on yah.”
Damn! I don’t know whether to be happy or pissed!
“Nice ringtone huh.”
“Well I guess that was my cue, I think I’d better go.”
“Boyfriend?”
“No, that’s my blog partner, Pam, just checking on me.”
“Sweet! Maybe I can call you sometime?”
“Sorry Cade, I don’t do booty calls and I’m not gonna start with you.” He just smiled as I turned my back and leave.

We had the honor of chatting with Angel Steel and her writing and her upcoming book Sweet Temptations. Here is what she had to say
1. So Angel first I would like to say congratulations on your first book! So your dreams are coming true and people will be able to read your words. Can you give us a little insight as to why you wanted to write?
Thank you. Nice to meet you too, Pam. I started writing at a young age, anything that popped in my head, that sounded good me at the time I’d write it down, but it never came out the right way I wanted when I was youngJ. My mother told me when I was young that I had a great imagination, even now I think she would still say the same only that it’s a wicked imagination that I have now. I’ve always wanted to write, but over the years I never really got the change to do just that. I’ve always wanted to write and put my point of view out there. And now that I have done just that, I don’t see me giving it up any time soon.
2. What authors have influenced you and can you give us your top 5 books?
The author’s that have influenced me would be E.L. James, Melissa Schroeder, Jaymie Holland, Emma Holly, Cat Johnson and Bianca Sommerland. Love these author’s and how they write. As to my top 5 books which is really hard to pick,

3. As you started Sweet Temptations did you know that you want write a series?
Not at first. It was only going to be 2 in this series, as I progressed in the story; I knew I had to add one more to the series. When I chose my main characters I wanted them to tell their own story, it was hard to decide which two main characters I wanted to start with. It took me a while to decide, and I fought back and forth between Nate and Skylar’s story and Dominic and Chantal’s. Although Chantal and Dominic met before Skylar moved, I wanted to tell her story first.
4. I adore Nate but I really wanted to throw my laptop when I read certain parts of this book. Is there a “Nate” in your life?
Lol. I nearly did the same when I wrote it. I wanted him to be like that, and many of my betas said they wanted to do the same. Yes, I very much have my own ‘Nate’ in my life, not completely like him; they might have the mood swing thing in common, lol. I met my “Nate’ 14 years ago, and wouldn’t change it for anything in this world, he’s my rock, my world, everything. There is nothing I would change in the last 14 years, besides I should have started writing earlier with this series, then I did. I want to thank him, for giving me 4 beautiful children that I treasure with my heart and soul, and also for the amazing 14 years that I have known and been with him, Love you, baby.
5. Skylar has been through some deep and very emotional events in her life. Without giving a lot away I have to ask with all the events that happened in her life why did you write her as such a sexual character?
Yes she has. I didn’t want her to become reclusive with what had happened to her, as most people would have done just that. I know someone that has gone through something similar to what Skylar has; I didn’t want her to close off to the world, I wanted her to have a back bone, be her own person and not let the events that happened in her past and present ruin her future. I didn’t want her to close herself away from the world, and wouldn’t let it run her life, she wants to get over the events and move forward although she did think about the events once or twice. She wanted someone to show her how to love and feel secure with everything and in herself.
6. I love the connection between Sky, Chantal and Craig. Did you draw from your own friendship to write theirs?
Yes I did. I had a relationship like those three when I was younger. We called ourselves the ‘Three stooges’ did everything together, like they have. I’ve lost contact with them over the years, but I didn’t my characters to do that. I have one very special friend now that has helped me write our friendship into this story.
7. How many books do you expect in this series and will Sky and Nate’s story in book two as I am guessing that Dominic will donate book two and beyond?
3 will be in this series. Nate and Skylar’s story continues in book 2 not as much as the first and the beginning of Dominic’s and Chantal’s story. And all will end in the third with the new characters. All characters have parts in each book.
8. Will Craig and Alex be getting their own book?
Unsure, at this point. I really want to concentrate on the three in the series first before I think about writing their story.
9. Do you think you will write the back story of Lucas and Skylar?
Yes I will, eventually, lol. I want everyone to read their story, so they understand more with what Skylar went through in her past relationship with Lucas.
10. Can you leave our readers with one sentence that will make them want to read this book?
This story is about multiple life situations that everyday people go through, such as drama, romance, really hot sex, Jand will capture your attention straight from the beginning right to the end, leaving you wanting to know more?

Cris – Sure do! Fight With Me by Kristen Proby. It is a follow up to Come Away With Me and the second book in With Me Seattle series. Here goes the synopsis…
“Jules Montgomery is too busy and content with her life to worry about a man, especially one Nate McKenna. If growing up with four brothers has taught her anything, she knows to stay away from sexy men with tattoos and motorcycles. That goes double if he’s your boss. During the one incredible night they shared, he violated the no fraternization policy…among other things, and it won’t happen again. Jules won’t risk her career for mind-blowing sex, no matter how much her body and her damn heart keep arguing with her. Nate McKenna could give a shit about the no fraternizing policy. Cris – Ok Pam but what does that have to do with you dragging me to a Tattoo and Piercing Parlor.
Pam – Well I read the book.
Cris – And…so did I. I told you! It was HOT! It is on the top of my book list! Nate McKenna is one of my all-time book boyfriends! A man that every woman wants!! (Thank you Kristen Proby for an ARC of this book! It made my morning after having a bad day!)
Pam – That’s why we are here don’t you see? Tattoo and piercings works for Jules so maybe if we hang around I can find me a man and then maybe I can get something pierced!?!?!
Cris – Ok I get where you want to relate to the book. I loved Jules since the first book, Come Away With Me. She’s real, fun, confident, independent…no pretensions. She follows her heart, says anything she wants to say and doesn’t really give a fuck of what other people will think or say. Having said that I love ya girl but your no Jules and I am sure Nate is NOT running around here.
Pam – I get I am not Jules! Now Nate definitely took me by surprise! He posts as a very professional and intelligent guy, but when you get to know him better, you’ll find out that there’s more to him. He’s over the top sweet, likes to cook, very protective and he definitely knows what he wants and is willing to do everything to get it! Isn’t he dreamy? Can you fault a girl for hoping? I’m not in a total dream world! Kristen had to have some truth in her story and maybe I can find some of that here!
Cris -Couldn’t agree more! Everybody knows I’m a fan of Kristen’s writing. She has a clear take on how to describe scenes in detail especially the steamy ones which would require an intricate narration. Her characters are always 99% believable and readers can easily relate to them. Saying that I really don’t think that she meant for her readers to stock local tattoo shop!
Pam -I get it! She wrote a book that grabbed my attention from the prologue and held it until the end. Jules and Nate’s chemistry is fascinating! There were moments when I caught myself smiling, laughing, crying, biting my lips and swooning! So I say again, can you fault me for wanting to try???
Cris – I guess not. I loved all the characters, from the main ones up to the supporting ones especially the whole Montgomery clan. I loved the ending; I loved every freaking thing about that book! Ok so maybe you’re not all that crazy now that I think about it! The one thing that every author wants to do is have the reader relate to their words. Now maybe Kristen didn’t think some crazy girl like you would get tatted up but I get ya!
Pam – Exactly! Now what to get pierced? Any input?

Kristen Proby~ Hi Carole! Yes, the PNW is beautiful, fun and I love it here. It does inspire the setting of the With Me In Seattle Series. I grew up in a small town called Whitefish, Montana, and also lived for about eight years in Portland, Oregon.

Kristen Proby ~ I’m not sure what’s coming after WMIS. I still have five books to write for this series! I’ve been tossing around the idea of writing about rock stars, or maybe another family saga set in Montana, but that’s all up in the air. I’m completely submerged in the Montgomery family!

Kristen Proby ~ Ha! Well, I don’t think it would be appropriate to go into detail on this. I think as a writer, there are certain aspects of my personal life that bleed into the story. That’s inevitable. But I have a pretty active imagination.
The Book Avenue Review ~ What was the inspiration for the characters, such as Luke and Natalie, in the “With Me In Seattle” series? Did you build off real people or were they totally fictional? (Submitted by Michelle McDonald Cammack)
Kristen Proby ~ All of the characters in this series are fictional. I have a whole bunch o’ people, who aren’t real, running around in my head. Since the sex is so hot did you find it hard to focus on the relationship between any of the characters when a lot of the story was based on the sex? I think that the sex enhances the relationships. In most cases, as far as I know, when people are falling in love, they have a lot of sex. Don’t they? They are learning each other, inside and out, and I hope I weave the sex in so that it compliments their story.
The Book Avenue Review ~ What point of view will the rest of the “With Me In Seattle”? The male or female characters or will it alternate? (Cassie Fillmore)
Kristen Proby ~ I’m sure you’ve noticed that each of the epilogues in all three stories have been from the hero’s POV. I will continue that trend through the series. In future books, I may throw in a chapter here and there from the hero’s POV if I feel that we need to see what the heck he’s thinking, but the majority of the story will be from the heroine’s POV.
The Book Avenue Review ~ Do the covers reflect what your envisioned the characters to be or do you just go with what you like? Do you have a clear cut view of them in your head as you write? (Submitted by Clista Seals)
Kristen Proby ~ Aren’t my covers beautiful? I want the covers to convey the feel of the book. Unfortunately, we are limited in the photos available to use, and so I just find what I like the best and hire a cover artist to enhance it to make it special to my book. For the FIGHT WITH ME cover, Nate has short hair, but as you know, in the story his hair is long. Unfortunately, I didn’t have an option to use a photo with a long haired man, so I went with a photo that best conveyed the feel of the story, and I love the intimate feel of that cover. Yes, I have a clear picture in my head of the characters as I write. I see what they’re wearing, the expressions of their faces, what the room looks like that they’re in. It’s very vivid in my head, and I hope I show that on the page as well.

Kristen Proby ~ Yes, I’ve always been a writer. I don’t remember a time that I wasn’t making up stories. I became passionate about writing in high school, thanks to an amazing English teacher.

Kristen Proby ~ Wow, I haven’t even given this a thought because it just seems crazy to me. Um, I don’t know. I still have a hard time finding photos of men online that do Nate justice. He’s so fabulous in my head. I haven’t found an actor that looks like him yet.
