A TRUE STORY told through the voice of New York Times Bestselling author E.K. Blair.
She’s an author.
She’s a mother.
She’s a wife.
She’s a fraud.A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
This is an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition.
How do you write a review for a book that is clearly a person exposing themselves for all the world to read? How does one read this story and be ok with the subject matter? I loved the writing, I devoured it in one sitting. I was invested in the characters. I felt all of the emotions that E.K. meant to evoke with her storytelling.
I’ve struggled with how to word this review. How can you love a book like this? Well, it is humanity in its raw form. It’s about being a good person who makes bad choices. It’s how you deal with that choice and move on from it that defines you. This is where most readers will struggle. You’ll struggle with the choices that Tori makes. You will struggle with how you feel as she makes those choices. I know I did. I felt the pain, the anger and I felt the intense connection she had with him. I think E.K. did a great job at conveying Anonymous’ story. I want to know where she is now. I want to know, is she truly happy.
Once again, you need to go into this story with an open mind. It’s not for everyone, but I really enjoyed hearing Anonymous’ story. EK did a great job at telling it.
