Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude.

Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn't risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move.

Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.

And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.

review

“I’ll take the bait. I’ll chase you, River.”

KA Tucker has an eloquence contained within her words.  She creates stories that place you front and center, right in the middle of the action.  I binge read her first series and fell in love with her stories.  So much so that I jumped right into this series.  I  read both Burying Water and Becoming Rain within a week and had to get my hands on Chasing River.  Both Burying Water and Becoming Rain surpassed my expectations so I knew that Chasing River wouldn’t disappoint.

Amber has set forth on her world wide adventure.  Taking the steps to move out of her comfort zone, she finds more than she bargained for in Ireland.  River flowed into Amber’s life saving her from the unspeakable.  Their pull is stronger than either one could imagine.  Long after the dust has settled they soon learn that love has a mind of its own.

Diving deep into Amber and River’s world was an easy task.  KA Tucker creates both primary and secondary characters that will keep you intrigued while they entertain.  You will want more with each page.  As with the two novels prior, Chasing River deals with content deeper than a boy meets girl love story.  KA Tucker does her home work.  She comes to the table with facts and even the smallest detail is fully thought out.

My only regret is that I waited so long to pick up her books.  As, a reader you always hold a special place for the first book or series you read from an author but with KA Tucker I am finding that I love each one more than the last.  If you haven’t read these books or her other series hop over and start one clicking.  I was very late to the KA Tucker party but I plan to stay until she kicks me out. #FanForLife

  1. Ireland and Scotland are the two places in the world that I NEED TO TRAVEL TO! Their beauty surpasses any other country, besides the USA!
