A new novel in the Thoughtless series from #1 New York Times bestselling author S. C. Stephens!

Every story has two sides, and in this new book, the epic love story between Kiera and Kellan is shown through his eyes.

All Kellan Kyle needs is his guitar, and some clean sheets of paper. Growing up in a house that was far from a home, he learned a hard lesson: You're worthless. Now his life is comfortably filled with passionate music, loyal band mates, and fast women...until he meets her.

Kiera makes him ache for more. Makes him feel for the first time that he's worth more. But there's one problem - she's his best friend's girl.

Just when Kellan thought his emotional defenses were rock solid, Kiera's indecisive heart wreaks havoc on his soul, changing him forever. Losing Kiera is not an option.

So we all know what the gist of the story is all about but what I really loved about this book was how the scenarios unfold and STILL makes you NOT able to put this book down. A testament to the command and control S.C. Stephens writes with. It’s not just the particular way she strings together a sentence that is remarkable, but it’s the way she makes you FEEL like you are there in the trenches or the emotion that exudes from the pages that grips you entirely and makes you want to weep all over again. It’s also the way she tells the story. The first meeting, the love at first sight, the spark, the undeniable connection of Kellan and Kiera, the tension building up with Kellan and Denny, the painful truths and hard decisions…all of them! I could feel my breathing getting more rapid once again as the intensity of the situation just escalated out of control.

Thoughtful does not only take you back to the most painful and yet romantic love story of Kellan and Kiera but it also gives us a glimpse of what his childhood looked like. His life before the stardom and how much love changed him in the most unexpected way.

The story still destroyed me though. So much of me just wanted to scream when I was watching how awful things were. The burden of the secret, their complicated relationship so powerfully conveyed that I really took all of it hard for Kellan. Throughout this novel the tears flowed like unpredictable red hot lava. I was so surprised because I just didn’t expect that those moments would still hit me emotionally. I was a sobbing mess at many different points for many different reasons. And Kellan? OH MY GOD! SEALED! He’s definitely a dream boy in book form…my first love!

Thoughtful exceeded my expectations. I was still drawn in by the plot and it absolutely delivered on everything that could have gone with this impeccable story. It’s an evocative and powerful read that I will surely treasure for a long time to come.

If you like stories that will make your heart racing; stories that will have you compulsively turning the pages even if you know what’s gonna happen next; if you like to relive that love story that left an indelible impression to the indie community, if you are curious to know Kellan’s side of the story, Thoughtful is absolutely a MUST read for you.

fast talk

1. What would readers be surprised to find out about you?
I’m very quiet, and I really don’t like being in the spotlight. Matt and I have a lot in common, except I can’t play an instrument to save my life.

2. How did you choose Kellan’s name?
Kellan’s name came to me while I was writing, although, I originally had him as Denny and Denny as Kellan. It didn’t take me long to switch them

3. Why set your books in Seattle?
I know the city, so I felt comfortable writing about it.

4. Why do you think fans are so passionate about the series?
Kellan. I think it all stems from him.

5. Where do you find inspiration for your writing? Do you use real people/places as a foundation?
I often use real places, and that will give me ideas about what the characters could be doing there. Music is really my biggest inspiration. I love having a soundtrack in my head to go with the story.
