Catherine Pope got a second chance at love, only to have it ripped away—again. She should’ve known better.
But she dared to hope.
She refuses to let fate take the reins this time. Catherine decides she’s going to fight.Jackson Cole risked it all.
He thought this time would be different.
With his loyalties pulling him in two directions—it’s time to make a choice…his past or his future. Will they be beholden to their fears or will they both fight against their demons and finally find the love they both long for?
Corinne Michaels has crafted a book duo that is touching, sweet, and full of angst. Book two, Beholden, was a finale worth the wait.
“I love you. You’re it for me, so don’t go anywhere,”
Beloved ended at a low point. I was sad and all I wanted was for these two crazy kids to pull their shit together. Love is everything right… wrong! There is this little thing called life. Damn if it doesn’t mess everything up sometimes. I guess the silver lining is the shakeup pushes you for more and causes you to reevaluate the current situation. Beholden has both Jackson and Catherine doing just that.
“I hope you know how much you own my heart. And I hate you for it. I hate that you’ve stripped me of my defenses and made me feel, when all I want to do is be numb. Then this wouldn’t hurt so damn much. I would be able to grab and walk away. Let you fight your demons on your own.”
Beholden was a solid read and kept me entertained. Corinne writes well. Carefully structured words feed into a story that flows. I enjoyed the Jackson and Catherine journey. If you have yet to read this duet add Corinne to your “TBR” list. You can never had enough Alpha Males in your life.
