Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He’s heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she’s almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she’ll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin . . . signed M.
All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure. Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man. He’s obnoxious but well-mannered. He’s a gentleman but aloof. He’s passionate but emotionless. Yet the fascination is so powerful, Livy can’t deny him… or herself.
M awakens something in Livy, something deep and addictive that she never knew existed — and that she fears only he can satisfy. But she senses that behind the fast cars, fancy suits, and posh apartment, he’s aching inside. To have him, body and soul, she’ll have to brave his dark secrets. Delving into his world and breaking down his defenses become her obsession – an obsession that could shatter her heart beyond repair.

“Beautiful things should be savored, Livy, not rushed.”

Holy crap! So I thought I had it and I did BUT there was one twist I was not ready for and OMG was I excited about it. It was totally off the wall and not what I was thinking as it is not the norm for this type of book. Again, Jodi has created a sexy beast that will make any woman lose control. M is a whole new game, a twist on the Alpha male and oh my, is he more than one night.

“I work hard. I’m emotionally and physically drained by it. I want to have you to worship and indulge in when I’m done”

Livy is plain and straight edged. A girl at home in a pair of converses and jeans, Livy is surviving. Demons of the past stunt her spiritual growth. Then one day it all changes. M walks into her life, plan and straight bends into a world of color and promise.

“If I ever make you a promise, Livy, I’ll keep it… I’ll never do anything less than worship you.”

I never thought that the world of The Lord could be topped. I fell in love with the This Man Series. Jodi’s writing is intriguing and wraps you up, tight, in a word blanket. I snuggled up with One Night: Promised because I knew that it would be good but I had no clue just how good one night could be. After the jaw dropping end to Promised, I am longing for the warmth of a Jodi Ellen Malpas word blanket.

Jodi Ellen Malpas was born and raised in the Midlands town of Northampton, England, where she lives with her two boys. Working for her father’s construction business full time, she tried to ignore the lingering idea of writing until it became impossible. She wrote in secret for a long time before finally finding the courage to unleash her creative streak, and in October 2012 she released This Man. She took a chance on a story with some intense characters and sparked incredible reactions from women all over the world. Writing powerful love stories and creating addictive characters have become her passion – a passion she now shares with her devoted readers.

Book Review: On the Record by K.A. Linde @AuthorKALinde

For political reporter Liz Dougherty, election day—a day of looking toward the future and saying goodbye to the past—seems like a fitting time to start a new relationship. But feelings for her former flame still linger…

The sexy second book in bestselling author K.A. Linde’s Record series decides whether it’s better to pick up the pieces and move on…or to pick up right where you left off.
The Record Series Inspiration
My inspiration behind the Record series stems from my work on the presidential campaign in 2012. I worked on the UNC Chapel Hill campus as a campaign director at the time.
For the year before I started that job full time I’d interned for the campaign and been tossing around the idea about writing a political romance. I wasn’t sure how people would take the book since politics have always been such a hot button issue, but when I finally started to write about it, I realized that the politics are really just a backdrop for the relationship in the story. Nothing is expressly controversially political in that aspect, it just is the setting for the romance that blooms between Brady and Liz.
I really loved the idea of writing a political scandal. I got my masters in political science right before writing this and I studied campaigns, congress, and the presidency so I already had a deep understanding of the process. So I thought it would be a bridge of all of my interests–campaigns, presidency, and writing!

Rating: ★★★★★

Liz walks in and my heart drops! Off the Record had me wrecked but this is K.A. Linde we are talking about! So the pint sized power house has done it again with On the Record.
Entering into a Brady-less existence just plain sucks! There is no way to spin that fact. The tall, dark, and dreamy power house takes a backseat as we learn a little more about Liz and her internal struggle with her choice to walk away. Dealing with the aftermath of her choice, Liz finds that when you are engrossed in a world of politics, moving on is a bit harder than she thought.

“She shut the door and locked it before sinking helplessly to the floor. Tears sprang to her eyes fast and hot. A sob racked her chest and she slapped her hand over her mouth. No. No. No. No. No. No.”

It is ingrained into our minds from an early age to do what’s right. What is best for our wellbeing. What is safe. Maxwell is not safe but why is it so hard to completely walk away.

“Her throat was dry. Her fingers felt tingly. She wasn’t going to cry. No, this wasn’t that kind of moment. This moment wasn’t one to be mad or sad or pitch a fit. She couldn’t even muster those emotions. The only thing she felt was the one thing that she had never wanted to feel: regret.”

On the Record spins in way I never saw coming. Throw safe out the window because without a little danger, excitement, and challenge life is a bore. Just a small taste of Maxwell and I would follow him anywhere. As in Off the Record, K.A. Linde has continued to develop her characters into complex yet relatable situations. We may not date a congressman or a newspaper editor but the feelings are the same. You cannot help but fall for the political madness of Liz Dougherty’s world. K.A. Linde’s Record Series is a must read and I am waiting, not patiently, for book three. I need to know what happens with these two and in true K.A. Linde fashion I am sure it won’t be easy. She loves to taunt us but all fair in love and politics!

“I want you to remember that you called me crying in the middle of the night. You were the one who used that line. You were the one who fell back into old methods. So don’t you f#%king pull this shit on me. Did you are did you not call as Sandy Carmichael?” He waited.

“Yes,” she grumbled through gritted teeth.
“Did you or did you not typically call that line for me to Famp;k you?” He waited again.
“Yes.”

USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde has written the Avoiding series and the Record series as well as the new adult novels Following Me and Take Me for Granted. She grew up as a military brat traveling the United States and Australia. While studying political science and philosophy at the University of Georgia, she founded the Georgia Dance Team, which she still coaches. Post-graduation, she served as the campus campaign director for the 2012 presidential campaign at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. An avid traveler, reader, and bargain hunter, K.A. lives in Athens, Georgia, with her fiancé and two puppies, Riker and Lucy.

ONE MORE CHANCE
by Abbi Glines

#1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines continues the unforgettable story of Grant Carter, the irrestible playboy who first captured readers’ hearts in Fallen Too Far.

“Only Abbi Glines can pull off a heart-wrenching love story like this.”

Can she risk giving Grant one more chance, or will the gamble ultimately destroy her?
With her signature passionate characters and sizzling connections, Abbi Glines debuts another steamy, page-turning novel that will leave readers desperate for more.
Rating: ★★★★★

Wow! Just wow! I have to say that while I have enjoyed the Rosemary Beach Series I was becoming comfortable with the characters and stories. The end to Harlow and Grant’s story left me with a bucket of emotions and content was not one of them.
I was heartbroken when the car pulled away holding Harlow. Grant was devastated and even though I knew the thought process for both Grant and Harlow’s actions I did not want to accept them. Harlow ran and Grant was left lifeless. Working his mind, body, and soul to their limits, Grant finds his only hope in a three second voicemail greeting each night. Hoping that each call will be the last and that Harlow would shine light on his new found darkness. Harlow feels in her heart she is doing the right thing. She is blinded by her own reality. Apart in miles but not in heart, they slowly learn that life has its own plan.
This is an ASAP read. Plan for tears…lots of tears! I devoured One More Chance in one sitting. You will be surprised at your emotions, the outcome, and you may look at certain characters in a different light. I have about a million and one thoughts on what will happen next. I am excited for the finial books in this series. Thank you Abbi for reigniting my Rosemary Beach fire.

Brant:
Became a tech billionaire by his twentieth birthday. Has been in a relationship with me for 3 years.
Has proposed 4 times. Been rejected 4 times.
Lee:
Cuts grass when he’s not banging housewives. Good with his hands, his mouth, and his cock. Has been pursued relentlessly by me for almost 2 years, whether he knows it or not.
Go ahead. Judge me. You have no idea what my love entails.
If you think you’ve heard this story before, trust me – you haven’t.

Rating: ★★★★★

I have been a fan of Alessandra form the start. Her spin on hot and kinky yet exceptionally well crafted stories will leave you on the edge of your seat.

“Love isn’t about being happy. Be single and be happy. Love is about putting him, his sanity, his happiness, first. If you aren’t willing to do that then you aren’t really in love.”

Layana is not your normal girl and that goes for her love life as well. Brant and Lee. Two men. Two different worlds within Layana’s and even though she loves them both it impossible for her to make a choice.

“I love you. Every dark and light piece of you.”

I have to say that Black Lies is one of my top reads this year. What you need to know is that every ounce of the hype is true. This book has flipped the conventional love story on its ass. Alessandra has created a world of complex relationships all while keeping you engaged and questioning everything you thought you knew about love stories.

“I loved this man. With my whole heart. I needed him. He completed me.”

The story’s angst pulls at you and the love stories will rock you to the core. What lines are you willing to cross for love? To keep it? To hold on to your own happiness? Alessandra’s character and story development are incredible. All leading too, in my opinion, her best book yet.

Alessandra Torre is a new author who focuses on contemporary erotica. Her first book, Blindfolded Innocence, was published in July 2012, and was an Erotica #1 Bestseller for two weeks. Alessandra is currently working on the sequel to Blindfolded, which will be released in 2014. Alessandra lives in the Southern United States and is married, with one young child. Nichole: Hi Marty. Thanks for coming out to chat with us.

Marty: No problem. Mom said it was fine as long as she was with me. *Waves at his mom by the door*

Nichole: And we appreciate it. How has school been?
Marty: Good.
Nichole: Do you have a favorite subject?
Marty: I like art class.
Nichole: I like art too. I also like to go hiking. What else do you like to do?
Marty: Video games, football. Oh! And fishing.
Nichole: I like to fish, too. It’s nice to be outside.
Marty: Oh yeah! Way better than being in a class room. Yesterday Max took me fishing and I caught a huge one. *holds up his hands*
Nichole: That’s a real big one! Did you let it go or did you decide to eat your conquest?
Marty: Max said we should let it go so it could get even bigger for next time.
Nichole: Do you go fishing with Max often?
Marty: We try to go at least once a week, even if it’s only for a little while. It’s good for us guys to get some fresh air.
Nichole: I suppose fresh air is good for everyone. So what do you think about Max dating your mom?

Marty: At first I thought it was pretty gross, but I’m used to it now.
Nichole: Do you like Max?
Marty: Oh yeah! The other day we were playing one of my video games and I creamed him, but I think he let me win. I didn’t need him to let me win. I was taking it easy on him. That’s what friends do.
Nichole: Friends are important. What do you think about all the people taking your picture now?
Marty: It’s weird.
Nichole: Maybe they think you’re cute.
Marty: That’s just gross.
Nichole: Nah. You know how moms are. They like to look at pictures of everyone’s kids. Thank you for coming and answering my questions.
Marty: Yeah.
Meredith: Marty!
Marty: I mean, thank you for having me.
Nichole: The pleasure was mine.
Marty: Uh, mom? I don’t know what to say to that?
Nichole: I’m just messing with you. Get outta here and do something fun.

Alex and Will have spent months keeping their relationship hidden from their families. Getting caught prematurely causes them to admit their love for each other to their parents.

One decision made by Alex’s father changes her entire world, shattering her plans for the future. Alex always thought Will was the very air she breathed, but life has a way of causing doubts for the one thing she thought was absolute…their love.
Can Will’s promise to Alex be enough for her to hold on to or will she find herself moving down a different path that she never imagined for herself?
Without You is book one in the Love Wanted in Texas series.

The tables are turned and the children are running the show.

“Will and I will be married, and we’ll have lots of kids while we run the ranch.”

“What are you smiling about?’

I looked up at my mother, and my smile instantly faded. “Nothing, Mama. I just thought of something funny.” – 10 year old Alex
Alex and Will are the spotlight for this romantic tale. Love is never easy even when it’s homegrown. Form an early age both Alex and Will knew they were each other’s forever. With Gunner as your daddy love is downright hard. How do you spell love-block…G.U.N.N.E.R!

“I swear to God, Lex…I promise you, you and me always.”

I enjoyed Without You but with an ever growing cast of characters I found the story hard to follow at certain points. The plot unfolded with extra drama that to me was unnecessary. I enjoyed the father/daughter dynamic and totally understand Gunners hold on his little bear but when Alex and Will find a bit of external drama, for me, it was a little forced. With that being said the story still held Kelly’s signature style and is an enjoyable read for any fan. Will and Alec’s love was story sweet and romantic.

BONUS SCENE
Will walked into the barn and dropped the saddle. “What’s the game plan today?”
He smiled at me and shook his head slowly. “To make it look like we are training Banjo, but really all I want to do is kiss you.”
My cheeks instantly heated. I closed my eyes and asked, “Oh I like that idea! Do you want to go for a ride?”
Will’s expression changed and he took a step back. “What?”
“A ride, you want to go for a ride?”
He turned his head and slightly lowered it while he looked at me. “What exactly do you mean, Lex?”
I narrowed my eyes at him and tried to figure out what in the heck was wrong with him. Then it hit me.
“Oh my gosh! You’re such a guy William Hayes. Ugh.”
He held up his hands and took a step back. “Hey, the way you said it sounded like you were trying to be all sexy and shit.”
I let out a laugh as I placed my hands on my hips. “Really?”
He reached down and grabbed the saddle and walked into Banjo’s stall. He began putting on the saddle as Banjo looked at me and bounced his head all over. He knew what was coming. I had been riding him for the last week more and more. He had really taken to the saddle. He didn’t like it when Will got on him, but when I did he was a gentle giant.
“Yes, really, Lex.”
I walked up to the edge of the stall door, placed my arms on it and rested my chin on my arm. “I didn’t think I sounded sexy.”
He rolled his eyes and tightened the cinch.
I slowly pushed away from the stall door and gathered up all my nerve. “If I wanted to sound sexy and shit I would have said something like…” Will stopped and glanced over to me. I smiled and bit down on my lower lip. “Will, I really…really…want you to take a ride on me. I want to feel the power between my legs and…”
He stumbled back and tripped over Banjo’s feed bucket. I ran over laughing as I watched him spring back up. “Fuck, don’t do that, Lex.”
I looked innocently at him and asked, “Don’t do what, Will?”
He swallowed hard and adjusted himself. He moved past me and headed out of the barn. I closed Banjo’s stall door and went after him. “Hey, I thought we were going for a…ride!” I let out a giggle as Will threw his hand up and waved me off.
“The only place I’m going, Lex, is home to take a cold shower.”

Kelly is married to a wonderful Texas cowboy who has a knack for making her laugh almost daily and supports her crazy ideas and dreams for some unknown reason…he claims it’s because he loves her!
She’s also a mom to an amazing daughter who is constantly asking for something to eat while her fingers move like mad on her cell phone sending out what is sure to be another very important text message.
In her spare time she loves to sit in her small corner overlooking the Texas hill country and write.
One of her favorite things to do is go for hikes around her property with Gus….her chocolate lab and the other man in her life, and Rose, her golden retriever. When Kelly is not outside helping the hubby haul brush, move rocks or whatever fun chore he has in store for her that day, you’ll find her inside reading, writing or watching HGTV.

Or will she succumb to the man who has the power to throw away her future?
Prologue
The bedroom door creaked open as it had almost every night since I could remember. He always came for the same person—Loren. I hated him, despised him really. That night, like every other night, I didn’t want her to go. My big sister was all I had. My mother and father had died a long time ago.
“Lo,” I cried. “Please don’t leave. Please.” I heard her kick off her sheets before she rustled out of her bed. I’d never had the courage to look at him standing at the door waiting for her, but I knew he was there, with his greasy hair and his beer belly hanging low over the waistband of his boxer shorts.
Loren ran to my bed and knelt down next to me. “Shh. It’s okay, Brae. I won’t be long. I promise. Close your eyes like a good girl, all right?”
I turned to face her, tears moistening my eyes. She planted a soft kiss on my forehead. “I promise when I come back I’ll lie with you, okay?” I nodded.
It was dark outside, but dawn was coming. Only a few short hours before the light chased away the darkness and all the misery that accompanied it. The sound of crickets chirping outside our bedroom window punctuated the silence inside our small, two-bedroom house. The music coming from their wings should have helped calm me, but it only served as the eerie background track to our recurring nightmare.
I held back my tears, but couldn’t give up without a fight. “But, Loren—”
“Shut her up before your aunt wakes,” the horrible man said. Bile rose in my throat at the sound of his voice.
An eight-year-old shouldn’t know what rape is, or what true hatred feels like, but I hated that man, hated him with every breath I took.
Loren continued rubbing my hair as she spoke. “Brae, listen to me. This will be over soon … for both of us.” She reached for my hand and squeezed it tightly. “I promise. Please, just be quiet.”
I closed my eyes and rolled over to face the yellowing drywall that had never been painted. Loren’s footsteps softly tapped against the wood floor as she headed out of the bedroom.
“What was that all about?” he asked gruffly.
The thin walls allowed their conversation to flow freely throughout the house, but my aunt Tara never heard them. Her alcohol-induced coma helped her sleep through the horror that occurred every night right under her nose.
“Nothing,” Loren responded. “Let’s just get this over with.”
His voice was cold when he spoke again. “I don’t appreciate your mouth. Maybe I should take her to the basement with me instead. She knows better than to talk back to her uncle.”
I shut my eyes tighter. I never wanted to be near him, especially not alone in the basement.
“She’s been through enough. You will not take advantage of her,” Loren said just before I heard the signature creak of the basement door.
My eyes snapped open at the sound of a hand slapping against flesh. “I will have her one day and there is nothing you can do about it. Now get your ass down there.”
The basement door shut, muffling any further conversation between them. Tears streamed from my eyes as fear consumed me, and I shoved my face into my pillow to mask my sobs.
***
I was three when it happened. I didn’t have any memory of it, but Loren had told me the story over and over again. It was a head-on collision. My parents both died on impact, but paramedics ripped me out of the car without a scratch on my body. Loren had been at her dance rehearsal at the time. After the accident, the court gave custody to our aunt Tara and her horrible husband Henry.
The night Henry first expressed interest in me was the night Loren decided she’d had enough. In the following months leading to her eighteenth birthday, Loren found different ways to barricade our bedroom door, though she always paid for it the next day with extra chores and beatings.
But she never complained.
I know she did it for us … for me.
When Loren turned eighteen she filed a restraining order against Henry and told our aunt Tara what had been happening in her home while she was asleep. Aunt Tara refused to believe anything Loren told her, but she agreed to sign over guardianship rights of me to Loren if Loren agreed not to pursue any legal action against her husband. That was after she kicked us out of her house.
It was a blessing in disguise.
Loren applied for a housekeeping job for a couple in Newport, Rhode Island. As soon as things were settled with our aunt, we left Nampa, Idaho, and headed east until we reached the opposite side of the country. We drove cross-country with only pennies to our names, but Henry wouldn’t ever touch Loren or me again.
It was a welcome fresh start.
Loren inherited half of our parents’ wealth on her eighteenth birthday. Unfortunately, Tara and Henry never moved the money into an interest-bearing account, so we only had a few thousand dollars to help us in Rhode Island, but it was enough to start our lives over in a new city.
“It’s just you and me, Brae,” Loren said as she looked at me through the rearview mirror. “I promise you, baby girl, I’ll do whatever I can to protect you.”
I smiled as I hugged my dolly, the last gift my mother had given me before she died. “I love you, Lo,” I said before I looked out the car window. My eyes filled with tears, of happiness this time. Never again would Henry hurt either one of us.
“I love you too,” she replied. Then she started the car and drove us toward our new life.
Livia Jamerlan is a hopeless romantic she is always looking for her next love story to pop in her head. Though Livia kept a journal throughout her early life, she never thought about pursuing a career in writing, she always used it as form of therapy, pouring her heart out into words. It wasn’t until a story developed in her head that she decided that maybe she could write a book. At first it was just an escape from reality but now she use it as a power to put all her feelings, hopes, and fears on paper. Deciding it was time to tell her story she began to write, with each passing day the story grew, characters we formed, and what seemed like a hobby at first has now become a passion for Livia.
When Livia is not writing she is spending time with her husband and their two dogs, she might also be curled up with a new book, or she is out traveling the country to support indie authors at their book signings.

The small amount of money that Jack is trying to lay claim to is nothing compared to the money I have that Jack knows nothing about. Since our legal separation, I’ve become very successful in my career, but I wasn’t lying when I told Ty that it’s not about the money.
This is my heritage. My family worked hard for this land, for the wealth they amassed, and Jack doesn’t deserve another fucking dime of it. That’s why the divorce took so long. I fought him with everything in me to assure that he didn’t get his greedy hands on my family’s money.
In the end he won a sizable settlement that all of the lawyers talked me into.
Jack wasn’t happy. He wanted more.
I push off the edge of the pool and glide underwater until I reach the surface and then move into a front crawl.
After my parents died in a winter car accident just over two years ago, Jack made it clear that he didn’t love me, had been sleeping around since we were dating, but expected me to keep him in his comfortable lifestyle.
When I threw a fit and kicked him out, he slammed me against the wall and landed a punch to my stomach, certain to avoid bruising me, before he left.
Thanks to threats from Brad, and Jack’s knowing how well-known I am in this town, he’s not bothered me since. Until now.
And now he’s threatening me.
It’s not worth it. Living in constant fear of seeing Jack around town, of finding myself in the middle of another humiliating scene. Seeing the pity in the eyes of people I’ve known my whole life. And now, coming home to an ambush because he’s feeling desperate?
I’m done.
I pull myself out of the water, exhausted and panting, and resigned to see Cary in the morning to agree to a settlement.
It’s time to move on.
It’s early when I leave the house and drive to the lawyer’s office. I don’t have an appointment, and I don’t even know for sure if anyone is there yet, but I couldn’t sleep last night. I couldn’t lose myself in work.
I need to get this over with.
When I stride to the front door, I’m surprised to find it unlocked. Sylvia isn’t in yet, but I hear voices back in Cary’s office.
I step through his door like I belong there, and both Cary’s and Ty’s faces register surprise when they see me in the doorway.
“You know, Lo, we have these things called phones, where you call and make what’s called an appointment.” Ty’s gray eyes are narrowed, but his lips are quirked in a smile. He’s in a power suit today, making my mouth immediately water. His shoulders look even broader in the black jacket, and the blue tie makes his eyes shine.
“Ha ha.” I sit heavily in the seat before Cary’s desk. “I’m sick of this shit.”
“Ty told me you came by yesterday.” Cary leans back in his chair.
“I was fucking served papers,” I mutter, and push my hands though my hair. “But I think I want to settle.”
Ty’s eyebrows climb into his hairline. “I’ll leave you two alone.”
“You can stay,” I mutter. “I could use both of your opinions. I’ll pay double for the hour.”
“That’s not necessary.” Ty’s voice is clipped and he frowns as he gazes at me. “Why the change of heart?”
I lean back in the chair and tilt my head back, looking at the tin tiles on the ceiling. “Because Jack’s an asshole. Because now he’s decided to threaten me.” I shake my head and look Cary in the eye. “But no payments. It’s going to be in one lump sum and he needs to sign a contract stating that he’ll never ask for another dime.”

Not enough.
Catherine Pope has never been enough. Every man she has ever loved abandoned her—from her father to her fiancé. She finally accepted the fact she would never be enough to hold any man’s heart and soul.
Then Catherine met Jackson Cole.
When her world literally collided with the sexy former Navy SEAL, everything she always believed is turned upside down and left scattered. He made her feel alive and desirable, consumed her with fierceness and loyalty—which completely unnerved her. Jackson got her in a way no one ever had, giving him the power to destroy her.
If she breaks down and gives him what’s left of her battered heart—will he protect it? Or will Catherine become an irrelevant part of yet another man’s life?
Will she get the one thing that has always evaded her – to finally be someone’s beloved?

Love has fallen upon Catherine…literally. Asimple girls night out to blow off steam. Forget the pain, push pass the abandonment and regain a small thread of self-worth, Catherine falls into the lap of Jackson. That encounter, albeit brief, encompasses her mind, body, and soul.

‘I’ve never know this kind of feeling. It’s heady and intoxicating, filling me with fear and excitement.”

Jackson is stimulating on all levels and when Catherine is thrown back into his hold, she finds it a bit harder to walk away. Imperfect, they learn to find perfection in each other.

“…I want to be around you. I know I’ve thought about you every day and every night since we’ve met. There are a lot of things we need to learn about each other. But you fell into my life and I won’t let you fall out. So whatever this is…it’s ours.”

Catherine is falling for Jackson. Jackson is falling for Catherine. Both are guarded but will their defenses be what pushes them away from each other for good?

“Now it’s up to you. Is he worth the fall and possible heartbreak, or is he strong enough to catch you?”

This debut novel by Corinne Michaels is well written and quite enjoyable. The characters issues are real and relatable. No matter how loved you may be personal blinders never allow us to see the whole picture. Questioning self-worth; am I good enough, or am I what he/she needs. The struggle between Catherine and Jackson makes my heart hurt. Jackson’s Navy SEAL past and Catherine’s own personal war leave the battlefield open, without protection, and with war comes casualties. Be prepared for a cliffhanger but I pray this war will be won. Keep an eye out for Corinne Michaels because if Beloved is an indication of whats to come then you will need to open some space on the Kindle.
Corinne Michaels lives with her husband and two children. She loves her wine, kindle and sarcasm is her second language. When not curled up with her laptop, Corinne can be found at the beach enjoying the sun and the sand.

Knox Jagger. The name inspires resent in every male at Sinclair University, want in every female, and contempt in Charlie Chase.
Charlie can be summed up in three words: independent, independent, and independent. To Charlie, Knox epitomizes everything that’s wrong with college males: prolific one-night stands, drunken senseless fights, and a body that hints at prioritizing gym time over study time.
As an up-and-coming writer for Sinclair University’s newspaper, Charlie’s tasked with getting to the bottom of who’s been dropping little white pills into girls’ drinks at parties. In an ocean of All-American boys sporting polo shirts and innocent smiles, Knox is the obvious suspect. As evidence piles up against the bad boy of Sinclair, Charlie becomes more and more certain it isn’t Knox. But when her drink is dosed at a party and she wakes up on Knox’s couch the next morning, Charlie’s left with more questions than answers when it comes to Knox Jagger.
How can Charlie ever hope to uncover the truth behind a guy so closed off he’s become . . .
Hard Knox.
